Writer and poet Ilma Hendi was born in Székelyudvarhely, just a stone's throw from the birthplace of Lajos Áprily and Áron Tamási. 1966-69, law student in Budapest. 15 March 1969, married to writer dr. Péter Hendi. Swedish citizen, cand. phil. at the University of Göteborg. Lived for one year in Munich from 1980, followed by Geneva. Last employed by UN WIPO. She conducted philosophical and psychological studies in Switzerland, devoting a few semesters to medical science. Travels: Iceland, America, Japan, Thailand, etc. The most decisive turn of event in her life took was due to the Christ-oriented spiritual science of Rudolf Steiner. She translates works from German, Swedish and French languages. Ilma Hendi currently lives in Switzerland and France.
